What Is ARA-290?

ARA-290 (also known as cibinetide) is a synthetic 11-amino acid peptide that selectively activates the innate repair receptor (IRR) - a non-erythropoietic receptor that mediates the tissue-protective effects of erythropoietin without its blood-thickening side effects.

ARA-290 reduces inflammation, promotes tissue repair, alleviates neuropathic pain, and has demonstrated significant benefits for small fiber neuropathy in clinical trials. It is being investigated for painful diabetic neuropathy, sarcoidosis-related neuropathy, and other chronic pain conditions.

It is administered via subcutaneous injection.
